Physiotherapist: Registered with the UK Health Professions Council (HPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Q. What conditions do you treat? We treat all muscle and joint problems. Please contact us to see how we can help you. Q. How do I pay? We accept payments by cash or cheque. Q. What is your cancellation policy? At least 24 hours notice is required, or a penalty fee will be charged. Q. Do you provide home visits? Yes. These can be arranged. Q. How quickly can I be seen? We will endeavour to offer an appointment within 48 hours of enquiry. Q. How long does each session last? The initial consultation will last approximately 30 minutes, with an explanation of your problem and a treatment plan. This will consist of setting realistic goals by you and the physiotherapist. Follow up sessions will last up to 30 minutes. On discharge, correspondence will be made with your GP or consultant to update your medical records. Q. What should I wear? The physiotherapist will need to assess and examine the affected part of the body; for the lower limb bring shorts, for back problems bring a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt or vest. Q. How often will I attend physiotherapy? Ultimately, the choice is yours. However, the physiotherapist will advise you in their professional experience on the number of treatments you require. Q. Do I need a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy treatment? No you do not. Q. Is the cost of physiotherapy covered by my medical insurance? Wheatley Physio is registered with most Health Insurance providers including BUPA. |
